John Junod can be found on the net , he occasionally reads comp.protocols.tcp-ip.ibmpc
as for the ws_gmail. To my knowledge John only distributed one version into the public domain
I believe that his further work on that product may have been commercialized.

Subject: Chameleon: Dynamic IP Addrress for SLIP
I am running Chameleon with a SLIP connection. Since I get a different IP
address everytime I call into my University's server, I have to open the
log and manually change the IP address. How do I use the -i command
successfully.
basically you would see the following if you were to log in to my server:
You have connected to UCI Terminal server...
csi-ts2> slip
Your slip address is 128.200.142.225, (followed by something not important)
this is what my script looks like in SLIP.INI -
SCRIPT=> $c$r -i
(note that c=slip)
How do I get it to automatically change my IP address if possible?
Thanks for your help in advance...I sincerely appreciate it!
Aaron

I on the other hand get a GPF _every_ time I run WSGopher. I'm on an ALR
486/33 running windows 3.1 attached to a LAN running Novell NetWare 4.0. I
would be very interested to know what might be causing the GPFs.

Subject: source for winsock
hi all,
I have written a small c program (windows) so that a client call call a host,
and then you can send messages to each other. The program is just a basic
frame work, but uses the windows winsock API, so should work with any winsock
implenentation. (hopefully...)
I want to write a real time talking program, so that two people can have a
real time conversation over internet.
Currently I have no idea on how well this will work out. but If anyone is
willing to help out, I would be more than greatful.
I seem to have the following problems so far..
A medi device can only record or play at one time.
Data threwput - transfering data threw internet can be sooo...sloww.....
If your willing to help, then please email me , and I'll send you the source
code (c), and we can go on from there.
Cheers rob.

* I had the same problem, I am currently looking into a work around, by trying
to check the sockets status before I send the information, then as I'm sending
the infromation.

Believe me, you aren't the only ones wanting this feature! I e-mailed the
developers of WinVN asking them about being able to not show read messages
and was told that it is not yet implemented. They said that it is the
most requested feature and that they are working on it, so I guess we
will just have to be patient.
